10:00 - 12:00 (ish).

2 hours birding around Crow Nest Golf Course and Coach Road.

The paths on the far side of the golf course are a bit of a quagmire!
I was hoping for Brambling but didn't see one.

3 Jay, Great Spotted Woodpecker (heard).

Collard Dove, Mistle Thrush.
4 Nuthatch (1 only seen).
2 Goldcrest constantly moving.
c20 Long Tailed Tit flock.
Mistle Thrush.
A good count of 40 Redwing in the field behind the church with Starling and Blackbirds.

Soil Hill etc.

14:00 - 15:30 (ish).

After lunch I had a stroll up Taylor Lane and around Soil Hill and back.

Taylor Lane area had a few birds about.

A Grey Wagtail and F Pheasant by the Midden.
Mistle Thrush and Kestrel thereabouts later.
Soil Hill main track is very boggy but nothing was on the hill today!

A few Small Gulls but no Owls of any description seen!

High, along Ned Hill Track 3 Noisy Herring Gulls calling overhead.

One in particular Gull showing me what it thought of me when I pointed the camera at it!!!

  2. Hope you are right Dave
The tree is next to the track - a great nest site.
