I had a 5 minute walk along Fore Lane, Sowerby Bridge this morning and I was fortunate enough to get an early Brambling tick!
Also, in the grounds of White Windows, a calling Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Holdsworth to Bradshaw:
Very windy here this aft with light drizzle being blown along.
An hours outing from Holdsworth, along the Calderdale Way, was very quiet, no doubt due to wind.
3 Herring Gulls, 2 Adults and a 1st or 2nd Winter bird, were of note with a few other sp. about.
One Gull was unhappy with the other.
The photos aren't good enough for me to tell if one was a Yellow Legged Gull alas.
A small Finch sp. seen at distance in the park was probably a Chaffinch.
