Green Withens Reservoir and Ogden Water

10:00 - 12:20 (ish).

Green Withens.

A long drive out to Green Withens Reservoir this morning, where the weather was a lot worse than that at home.
Drizzle and low clouds swirling about for the most part.
The clouds and mist lifted as I was leaving.
A good leg stretcher, but not a lot else.

Birds:

1 Red Grouse, 1 Carrion Crow.
The water was devoid of birds.
(better luck next time!).

I stopped at Booth Wood Reservoir on the way home, but I did not realise that there is no access here with the gate locked.
No birds seen on the water and the Dunnock in the Car Park trees refused to morph into a Tree Sparrow.

Ogden Water:

13:15 - 15:00(ish).

Dull, but dry here today.
A café visit was followed by a circuit of the water.
I enjoyed a natter with Chris S.

Birds:

7 Reed Bunting by the reservoir house ( a record count for me).
2 Kingfisher.
c120 mostly Small, very pretty, Gulls and 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls with 2 large Sub-Adult Gulls, at distance, that need more looking at, but probably Herring Gull.

A Treecreeper was a welcome 'tick' that kept my list chugging along nicely.

A Nuthatch and a Great Spotted Woodpecker were both calling from the north end, neither seen.

 Green Withens:

Booth Wood Dunnock!!
