Tough woodland birding in a gale

The usual Saturday routine with Abi and Emma.
Abi did some colouring by numbers, after breakfast,  while I attempted to draw some 'Calderdale birds of the future'.

Coach Road:

14:20 -16:00 (ish).

I had a run down to the Coach Road area of Lightcliffe this afternoon to , in theory,to escape the worst of the gale force winds.
It was very windy here as well, though, with most of a large tree and some big branches blow across the bridleway.
Some trees were groaning and creaking as I had a walk about.
Really tough going this aft - the quietest I've seen it here in a long while.

Birds (or lack of them):

Blue and Great Tit, Blackbird.
House Sparrow.
c70 Jackdaw overhead at one point.
Long Tailed Tit, Goldfinch.
1 Nuthatch.

'Possibly' 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker with indistinct calls blown away by the wind - was about it.
