Sue's car, also, has not moved in a week but today we had to get some shopping.
People queued outside Kelham farm shop.
It's cold up here in June so todays wait was on the nippy side.
As we reached the enterance a young man was offering hand sanitiser to customers and a notice declared that only one member of a family is allowed into the shop.
I waited outside and had a look about from the bottom of the car park, like Billy-no-mates.
A pr. Lapwing were patrolling the field dishing out some grief to any Corvids nearby.
This seem a poor choice of field for a nest with possibly 50 or so Corvids using the fruit tip nearby.
Along with the Lapwing were a large flock of Starling c250 I guessed.
Daily Exercise Walk:
I had to keep moving today, gee-ed up by Sue and the stiff northerly wind.
I did see a few birds however with a Lesser Black-backed Gull, 5 Meadow Pipit and a Little Owl about.
Garden Watch: - up to 31 now (Wow).
A cold number again today but it remained mostly dry.
Not much moving in the sky as far as I could make out.
When I got too cold, outside, a periodical scan with the scope from the kitchen window replaced the sky watch.
Nice to pick out a Pheasant in the fields below Roper Lane using the scope.
Other birds were Common Gull.
(My garden first Common! - still haven't had a Black Headed Gull that I can definitely ID yet!).
12 Large Gulls NE, miles off.
Pied Wagtail
Plus my usual crew.
Keep safe and warm.
I've ordered a White Tailed Eagle > N for tomorrow lunch time - keep an eye out.
Most sky watch birds are very distant and I'm practising my in-flight photos, with my P900, but not making very much headway... yet.
Raggalds Flood from the top of Percy Road
Looked a bit Raven-esque but can't tell much from this pic.
