Thursday Hot and sunny

Some cloud cover this morning in Bradshaw was burned off by lunch time to leave a hot sunny afternoon.

New birds over the garden were a Pr. Jays moving my garden record on to 43 since lockdown.

Other birds.

Large Gull probably a Herring Gull and a second Herring Gull calling.
Heron, Linnet, Green Woodpecker calling off and on all afternoon.
Mistle Thrush. Swallow on the lines here now.
A few large Gulls > N.
Buzzard on a post, early evening, below Roper Lane.

Todays walk took in a bit of Soil Hill for a change.
Nice and warm here today, but nothing exceptional seen.

A quick scan of the sunken (Ring Ouzel) tree line brought out a Blackbird!

The usual species were seen on the walk.

Meadow Pipit, Pheasant, 4 Linnet, Skylark, 2 Lapwing.
Curlew, group of Starlings.
Pr. Canada Geese, Mallard.
Little Owl.

A Pipit that landed in shadow in a Soil Hill bush, 'seemed' to have a different call to a Meadow Pipit but I could not get a decent photo, before the bird left.
It's probably a Meadow Pipit and I'm going 'stir crazy'!

Later as I looked back along Ned Hill Track and scanned the bushes, there was a would be Long Eared Owl ,there.
I walked back along the track a bit, and the LEO morphed into a 'brownish bush thing'.

My lack of exercise combined with Sue's baking (Buns, Cakes, Biscuits, Scones, Lemon Meringue) and some chocolate and the 'odd' glass of red wine is having an adverse effect on my snake like figure.
When I look in the mirror an iguana is looking back at me - hope everyone else is 'suffering' the same diet.
