A dull day until late afternoon when the sun peered out for a short moment.
A light shower caught us out on our exercise walk.
A good scan for D.Br's Taylor Lane F. Ring Ouzel failed yet again (I'm turning into Mr. Mcgoo).
Thanks for the phone call Daniel.
I thought I'd got the bird (Twice) but both were separate sightings of 2 Blackbirds!
(Another scan from the top of Percy Road also produced a Blackbird... but you just wait until tomorrow.)
A Little Owl was kind enough to sit on the wall close by and a Buzzard and a Kestrel flew overhead.
A couple of Greenfinch were seen along the way.
The garden watch was cold and damp and not too great.
The usual stuff about with a Mistle Thrush landing on a pylon later on and singing for a while.
I have moved the garden watch species count on by ONE to 41 with a long awaited Rook, seen for definite.
Good to get another one for the count John. I had a new one this afternoon, a Willow Warbler singing at the back of the house. Why on earth would they sing in this cold wind !!!
ReplyDeleteWarmer day in prospect for Sunday and SE wind Monday might bring something along.
ReplyDeleteCould still get a Black Redstart on Taylor Lane or along the 'farm track' I've had them here before.
Keep safe and good luck with your list.
Terns possible.
John
