Tuesday 14th Frost then hot

Late off the starting blogs today.

The usual day, Garden watch and an exercise walk after lunch.
A change of route to include the high contour path around Soil Hill to exit on to Ned Hill Track.

The perimeter path is a long way from the Curlew (or potential Whimbrel) fields.
Down Ned Hill Lane and left along the farm track and fields home.
Actually warm on Soil Hill today.

Late evening and Sue decided to visit the Kelham Farm shop, the car not having moved in over a week.

Only one member per family is allowed into the shop so we fought it out in the car park to see who would win.

I won and went looking over the fields here while Sue went a'shopping.

Birds:-

Garden:

Heron, Goldfinch, Coal Tit, Linnet.
A few Swallow overhead moving N.
5 Buzzard.

Walk:

3 Willow Warbler, 4 Meadow Pipit, 3 Skylark.
Pr. Canada Geese, Pr. Mallard.
6 Curlew - mega distant in the lower shay fields.
Little Owl.

Farm Shop Area:

Lapwing, 4 Curlew.
Loads Corvids.
Large Gull over - which I think is a Lesser Black-backed Gull but I'll check it out later.
