Ringby Lane and Howcans Lane - Swalesmoor

Another scorcher again today and a trip out to Swalesmoor after lunch was probably the worst time of day to go birding.
The usual mix of birds along Ringby Lane.
Lots of birdsong along a really roasting Howcans Lane, with little shade.
The birds were flitting about but not wanting their pictures taken.
Some great colours with Broom and Gorse I think and Rhododendron.
This looks like a great area with loads of potential.

Birds:

Lesser Black-backed Gull on the buildings.
A few large Gulls very high in the clear blue sky calling were hard to see were probably Lesser Black-backed.
Herring Gull.
Linnet, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Swallow.
One Pipit with a high few notes at the end of it's song as it landed had me wondering.
Lots of Corvids as usual.
Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Whitethroat.
Pr. Bullfinch, Song Thrush.

A distant Buzzard was being mobbed by a solitary crow.

A Green Woodpecker flew across Swalesmoor Road as I approached the Queensbury boundary.

A very distant Pipit - probably a Meadow Pipit.
The photo ain't to good.
