More of the same walk wise today - Bradshaw fields - Ned Hill Lane - Percy Rd - Taylor Lane - Home.
First up was a Little Owl in roughly the same place as yesterday.
A Buzzard was on a fence post, behind East Croft farm, but it left before I could snap it.
A Green Woodpecker called hereabouts and Linnet and Willow Warbler are plentiful now.
A very distant scan towards Oats Royd from Percy Rd brought with it a bit of a mystery with 2 large birds in flight there, looked to go down into the conifers but I can't be sure.
The photos at this distance are not much good alas.
I though Buzzard when I saw them through the bins.
3 Swallow together and 2 Stock Dove along Taylor Lane and a bedraggled looking Swallow was on the lines as I went down Bradshaw Lane.
A few hours in the garden this afternoon.
My solitary Swallow was joined by another bird today.
2 very large Gulls passed very high overhead, calling.

3 photos looking to Oats Royd from Percy Rd:-
Think they Buzzards John - the light is playing tricks !
ReplyDeleteThe birds were a very long way off Dave.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are real garbage but a bit of a change on my outing (Heron or Canada Goose! crossed my mind as well).
Lots of light in the plumage and they were big.l
Thanks for your thoughts.
Keep Safe.
