Soil Hill - A Hot Outing

12:30 - 15:00

Our 2 weekly shop this morning was followed , after lunch, by a visit to Soil Hill.
The visit was a hot affair on a very sunny afternoon.
Not the best time of the day to visit here I guess!
It's so high up here, squeezing out anything new is proving difficult.

I did get a yearly tick though, in the shape of a long awaited House Martin.

Birds:

Several singing Whitethroat and Willow Warbler, Linnet, Meadow Pipit, Skylark.
Pheasant, Curlew, Lapwing, calling Oystercatcher.
Mallard, Moorhen, Swallow, Swift.
House Martin, 2 Pied Wagtail.

The garden watch had just a few Swallow and Swift knocking about.
A Pr. Collard Dove made a brief appearance.
