Not much birding time today.
Good to chat with Dan Br. on his way down from Soil Hill, as we went along Percy Rd on our exercise walk this morning.
A trip to Elland to see Sue's old boss and drop some Marmalade and Chutney in (at arms length!)was followed by an 'awkward' journey to Sainsburys - Brighouse with a few roads closed and Brighouse stacked with traffic.
I did get a very short nosy about, outside of Sainsburys, while Sue picked up a parcel.
A bit of garden watch after tea a cool murky do.
We are feeling a bit at a loose end now, wanting to get moving, but this feeling is tempered by the Covid situation which is still lurking in the shadows.
Birds:
Brighouse:
A good few Swift and Swallow zooming over the river bridge near Sainsburys, Brighouse. I didn't pick out any Sand Martin but the birds were moving at rare old speed, hard to ID with confidence.
Lesser Black-backed Gull and a Cormorant high over the river as well.
Garden:
Usual stuff.
Lesser Black-backed Gull, Swallow, Collard Dove, Goldfinch, Woodpigeon, 1 Stock Dove moving fast.
Ah well , always tomorrow..
