Ogden Water

A Sunday afternoon visit to Ogden today, thinking that the poor weather would make it a quite one - wrong - bottom car park was full.

A grim(ish) day with low misty stuff, drizzle and some rain.
I just did one circuit of the water here today.

Birds:-

Jay, Dipper, Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Willow Warbler.
7 Chaffinch feeding on the shoreline, might be a sign of better things to come.
2 Bullfinch.

c60 Gulls at one point:-
c8 Lesser Black-backed, 2 Common, Rest Black Headed.

2 Cormorant, 2 Great Crested Grebe, Heron.

A lone duck way down in the sluice had a look of a Shoveler with a long wide bill.
It is normally dark in the sluice, but extremely so today so the photo is poor.

A squirrel taking advantage of the ice cream van with a hazelnut flavoured cone in tow.

Possible Shoveler above?
