This afternoon we had a run out through Oxenhope and along the Hebden Bridge road. Along to Mytholmroyd and a right turn up the 'long slope' to Blackshaw Head Reservoir.
Some great scenery and an Ice cream along the way but few birds.
Afterwards Sue dropped me at Taylor Lane to hunt for the Black Redstart reported there earlier.
My visit coincided with JS and DJS's departure.
A good look see, near Taylor Lane and a walk around Soil Hill, before another look around Taylor Lane area - but no joy.
After tea, as I was looking to do the washing up, another text arrived from B.S. confirming that the Black Redstart had been relocated.
Washing up or Black Redstart twitch?
No Contest.
CK was near Taylor Lane and he pointed out the general area where he had spotted the bird and as we looked he found the Black Redstart again and pointed it out to me.
With the fading light, I doubt I'd have seen the bird without his help.
Thanks Chris.
I managed to get a poor record shot.
