Foreside Lane Area (Denholme South)

An afternoons' birding along the usual Bridleway south of Foreside Lane and then Foreside Lane itself.
Very bright and sunny, nippy in the easterly, but warm out of it.
Really hard going early on with the clear blue sky bereft of birds.

"South" Bridleway.

A couple of Swallow still entering the Stables, and a few heard chattering high overhead.
Just a few Meadow Pipit about and a Kestrel (or more that One) seen 5 times along the way.
A mega distant 'chat' looked like a Stonechat.
Just a few large Gulls overhead and probably Herring Gull calling below Soil Hill (although Lesser Black-backed Gulls have a similar call).
A Partridge sp, flushed from very close, called and flew over two fields before gliding and landing out of sight.
A mega distant, possible "interesting" Raptor, but I can't ID it from this photo.

Foreside Lane.

Not much improvement until a whole bunch of Stonechat were seen along the 'water board permissive path'.
They soon headed down the fields adjacent to Foreside Lane.
They were very flighty and difficult to photograph with at least eight Stonechat with a couple of Meadow Pipit and Goldfinch.
This is the most Stonechat I have ever seen in 'one group'.
