A drive out to Withens Clough Reservoir this afternoon and an enjoyable, if breezy, circuit of the water.
Struck lucky with the weather with the circuit matching a dry interlude, although dark clouds loomed throughout.
(Seen from the garden - A Sparrowhawk was being mobbed by 2 crows this morning).
Birds:-
Nothing at all on the very choppy water.
Very little airborne alas.
Carrion Crow.
Meadow Pipit.
Raven.
6 Stonechat were pleasing to see (including a very dark bird).
Not a lot else.
I think I was probably still drying out from my visit up there in the morning John. Looks like you did better than me ! Nice to still be getting Stonechats.
