Coach Road - Lightcliffe

A run down the road to Lightcliffe this morning to have a stroll down Coach Road and thereabouts.

A very dull breezy mild day.

Birds:-

2 Great Spotted Woodpecker (1 distant, 1 obscured by branches)

20 + Long Tailed Tit.

3 Nuthatch.

2 Jay.

Bullfinch.

A good few Blackbirds and a few more common sp.

210 Starlings on the telephone lines along Pavement Lane, above Bradshaw Lane Church.

I'm thinking that we are due for an influx of some winter Thrushes this week?

"Black" Woodpecker way across the golf course - 'miles off'
I cannot get any colour into the photo at all.
It left with an undulating flight.
Interesting- unusual stance but....
A UK first(?) will have to wait I guess.

On second thoughts this bird is probably not the Woodpecker that
I heard calling from close to it!!
Could well be a Starling - oh well.
