Ogden

Another gloomy, misty day brightened up for a short period after lunch so I had a trip out to check on Ogden Water.

The bottom Car Park is a real mess with a huge pothole in the middle of the access road.

A 'low slung' Merc carefully drove over the pothole but it still gave off a loud scraping noise from underneath.

Birds:-

This autumn is turning out to be very disappointing with the calm gloomy weather not helping.

Just the Mallards and the usual Small Gulls here with one Lesser Black-backed Gull as far as I could tell.

Not much moving around the circuit, the usual Tit sp. near the promenade house and Goldcrests and Coal Tits calling frequently on my way around.

A Dipper lightened things up a bit.

A long stand waiting for a very active Goldcrest (aren't they always on the go) to stay still for half a second, paid dividends when I manged a half decent photo.

A few other species seen but nothing out of the usual.

A Kestrel was seen along Bradshaw Lane.
