A beautiful cold, sunny day today.
An unusual Christmas this year with Emma still on full lockdown at White Windows.
Just the option, now, of a 30 minute visit but remaining behind a Perspex screen with no contact.
Still this precaution has kept her and her colleagues Covid free so far.
Abi is in our bubble so we, Sue really, prepared the big Christmas meal this morning and we transported it all to Abi's place.
We enjoyed the meal and some fun and games, an enjoyable afternoon out.
Why do kids like slime??
Mid-morning we enjoyed a short stroll up to the Raggalds Flood (frozen solid) and back.
The Lapwing flock were airborne with some Starlings ,Carrion Crows, Jackdaws and Rooks in the fields with 2 Mistle Thrush also seen.
I was fortunate enough to locate a Little Owl on a distant wall on the return journey.
Little Owl had been my 'saviour' in these quiet late Autumn / early winter birding outings, where special birds are thin on the ground.
Kestrel seen at Hipperholme.
Thanks for tuning in and for all your comments , they are really appreciated.
Some pics from today:-
Now where is the red wine?
Fantastic sky John...
