Some jobs to do before Christmas today including putting up the Christmas Tree.
I guess we have had this Christmas Tree for over 20 years and each year we think we will buy a new one .. but 'let's just see'.
We take the box from the loft and open it, unfold each 'branch' and bits of 'greenery' fall off it but all the bits somehow fit together and when the lights and baubles go on it looks as good as new.
So we keep using it.
Perhaps I should wear some lights and baubles.
A dark, wet very windy day today.
The weather can't string 2 decent days together can it?
Bird wise today was cancelled really.
I stopped at the Raggalds Flood on the way home from Kelham Farm shop this morning, just before the rain came.
A Carrion Crow and 3 Common Gull and a few Starlings knocking about with a c75 Lapwing Flock.
A good scan through the birds from the road for a Golden Plover came up blank.
Last time we had a good influx of Golden Plover hereabouts was when we had, had a lot of snow.
It looks like a white Christmas is just possible this year because the forecast is for a dry day! so some local Golden Plover would be a great present.
