A cold damp grotty day today and just a local stroll for me.
I went up to the Raggalds, up Percy Rd and down Taylor Lane and home.
A small bit of juice in Raggalds Flood but no birds.
A shortage of Gulls in the fields around here today with 11 or so Common Gulls and a couple Black Headed Gulls along Taylor Lane fields.
A couple of Herring Gulls overhead and a large Gull, high, calling noisily > Soil Hill.
10 or so Goldfinch were in trees along Percy Rd with just a solitary Chaffinch.
Others - Rook, Robin, Starling and not a lot else.
Well it is late Autumn, so things will be quiet.
A small chance of snow over the next few days here, so maybe a Bunting will appear along Soil Hill track.
Snow in Scandinavia might help as well.
Hi John. Yes a bit hard work finding things at the moment especially difficult on a dank drizzly day like today. Still a good chance of something good turning up - hopefully.
