Snow

The first snow of the autumn yesterday evening.

The snow continued to fall for most of the day here today, but the gritters were out and the roads were ok.

I shifted a load of it early on, but it came but it came back again.

I shifted it again and it stayed away a good while ,thawing a bit mid afternoon before becoming very cold again.

Raining at the moment - might shift the stuff.

I put some mealworms out but not many takers.

I usually get a Blackbird with lots of while around its eyes and a Pr. Mistle Thrush this time of year - but no show yet.

I just had a walk down to post some Xmas cards and came back via Bradshaw Park.

Not many birds about.

Starling, 2 Collard Dove, Woodpigeon, Blackbird, Goldfinch.

Black Headed Gull overhead.

Highlight was a Greenfinch - a tad rare nowadays.

Well done to DJB for getting up and around Soil Hill this aft.
