Shelf Woodland Walk and Local Fields

Shelf:

A mid-afternoon exercise walk from Shelf Park through the woods.

A real wellie job in places with lots of mud.

The usual woodlands birds here:-

c50 Woodpigeon feeding together.

6 Redwing - very flighty.

Plenty of Long Tailed Tits flitting about.

2 Treecreeper seen probably others calling.

3 Jay.

Local:

A short walk, late afternoon, along the local fields was very quiet, and it gets dark early now.

1 Carrion Crow, 1 Magpie, 1 Wren.

A couple of Black Headed Gulls over!

Plenty of scanning the walls failed to see a Little Owl however, a tad later 2 Little Owls called from the track I'd just left!.

Earlier,  out and about, a Peregrine Falcon was seen which made a nice change from the norm.
