Soil Hill

A walk up to and around Soil Hill after lunch.

Loads of snow here and extremely boggy higher up the main track, but the earlier mist had lifted and it turned out to be a very enjoyable outing, scenery wise.

I put some more bird seed down hoping something might be interested in it later on.

Tough going bird wise, which was not a surprise.

All the birds with a birdbrain have moved lower down to the green fields.

Earlier, on a trip to Dunelm Bradford, I sat in the car while Sue went shopping.

A scan along the very distant rooftops checking out the Black Headed Gulls,  brought with it a solitary  Common Gull  with what looks like 2 silver leg rings, one on each leg.

Not sure if this is significant?

Way too far away to read the ring of course.

On the way there , leaving Queensbury, a lapwing flock were in a fields and on the way back they were airborne, 43, above the trailer park.

Birds:-

(Not many).

Dunnock, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Goldfinch, Robin.

Blackbird, Black Headed Gull, Common Gull.

Herring Gull, Little Owl, Heron.
