I had an appointment at Huddersfield Hospital this aft, so I got a bit nearer to Huddersfield and spent some time birding along the river from Elland Bridge to Lowfields Business Park and back.
Some birds were good enough to make an appearance, keeping my the interest going.
Birds:-
Just a few Swallow and Martins high overhead.
Mute Swan, Pied Wagtail, 6 Chiffchaff, Dunnock, Wren.
Green Woodpecker called from Brookfoot Woods area.
4 Grey Wagtail was a nice bonus.
Long Tailed Tit, Greenfinch, Goldfinch.
4 Canada Geese, Heron overhead and a Drake Goosander on the river, completed and enjoyable saunter, where it was mild and pleasant in the sunshine down here.
