Oats Royd Mast Area / Garden

Oats Royd:

A bright, sunny crisp morning and I was on the look out for some special birds.....

Good numbers of singing Linnets and Willow Warblers but nothing out of the ordinary.

Jay, Dunnock, Robin, Wren, Woodpigeon, Chaffinch.

Long Tailed Tits looked to be nest building,

A Green Woodpecker called once.

Garden:

We enjoyed some sunshine in the garden and my periodical sky watch revealed a very large Gull with 2 Buzzards, distant east, over Oats Royd.

(All too distant to get a photo of).

One Buzzard was circling high , to dive (stoop?) down.

This was repeated a few times before I lost the birds.

Later another (probably one of the earlier ones) was seen again.

Swallows now moving through with a couple of what looks like residents, flying low and chattering.

A few large Gulls - all very distant passed by.
