We awoke to snow this morning covering the fields , this soon melted when the sun shone on it later on, but the snow flurries continued throughout the day.
Late afternoon, in a break in the showers, I had a walk up the fields nearly opposite our house. After traipsing up and down Soil Hill for Ring Ouzel, who would have believed there were 3 Ring Ouzel waiting for me in theses fields?
I got excited when I eyeballed one, in a tree, and grape vined that.
Then No 2 was seen on the deck, so I grape vined that.
Then No 3 was seen so I grape vined that also!
The 'grape vine' gang will think I've lost it.
Earlier, in the morning, to alleviate her boredom, Sue decided to go for a run out in her car.
The jaunt included a stop at Craggy's take away - near Crag Vale for a BIG bun, so I went along for the scenery (not the bun - of course).
We went through Oxenhope where, approaching the Dog and Gun, I took a distant photo of a bird on the telephone wire.
Later, seeing it blown up on the laptop, it looks very Peregrine Falcon-esque.
The Hebden Bridge Rd from Oxenhope was very picturesque.
A lone 'Blackbird' was on the top of the moors here - I think it is a Blackbird?
Later I did pick out a Peregrine (for definite).
