Bradshaw - Soil Hill Monday Evening and Tuesday Morning

Monday Evening:

A late outing up and around the hill.

Birds:-

2 Snipe Drumming over the shay fields, others heard chipping.

2 Little Owl and 2 Stock Dove were of note.

Tuesday Morning:

Another fine dry cool morning soon warmed up. Most of my 'outerwear' (now there's posh) was relegated to the pack.

Good to chat with AC along the way

Not bad bird wise but the prolonged good weather is great for walking but slows the bird movement down a bit.

Birds:-

A Linnet was seen from the garden and 4 more or so Linnet were seen on the tour.

2 Greenfinch, 2 Little Owl.

A Wheatear courtesy of AC.

2 Stock Dove, 3Willow Warbler.

A Green Woodpecker called a few times from nr. Ned Hill Bottom (not seen).

Top of the shop was a Male Blackcap that called once before I eyeballed it in the small copse along the farm track just before Ned Hill Bottom.

I was pleased that I got a photo, as the bird was well obscured by branches.

The usual Lapwing, Curlew, Skylark and Meadow Pipit were seen on the hill.

Peregrine Falcon seen elsewhere.
