Bradshaw to Soil Hill and back

A pleasant walk up to and around Soil Hill this morning, it got quite warm later but there was a really refreshing breeze.

Not a bad outing really with some real posers.

Poser 1:

3/4 Swallow called from above me and as I looked up a very fast Raptor sp was being mobbed by them - it was gone in a breath though.

The picture is pretty awful, I was hoping for a Hobby but it looks too full bodied - probably a Kestrel - strange 'tail' in the photo could well be a trick of the photo, with a Swallow superimposed?

Poser 2:

A very small, dark thin mammal, possibly 12 inches long, Weasel looking,  ran along the main soil hill path.?

Too small to be an adult Weasel - could be juvenile?

Poser 3:

A mega distant bird south of the quarry, on the top of a wall is possibly a Stonechat?

Poser 4:

A Large Gull, being mobbed by a Crow sp. looks like a Yellow Legged Gull to me?

Some of the Birds seen:-

(I Just manged to scrape 28 species, with a few notable exceptions).

Kestrel, Skylark, Meadow Pipit.

Willow Warbler.

5 Whitethroat ( 2 Seen, 3 Heard).

1 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Possible Yellow Legged Gull.

Possible Stonechat.

Unknow Raptor.

Pied Wagtail.

4 Linnet.

The above photo was a massive crop of the bird on the left - from the photo below.
