Soil Hill and Bradshaw Fields (Evening)

My second blog today - read it late - a boon for all insomniacs.

A few hours out this afternoon looking around soil hill mostly.

I was caught out by the coolness of the weather up there with a strong wind making it noticeably chilly.

It was good to catch up with DJB at the bottom of Taylor Lane.

Birds at a premium for me, or perhaps my concentration was lacking, with just 24 species noted.

2 Foxes seen also.

Birds:-

2 Goldfinch, 8 Meadow Pipit, 5 Pheasant, 4 Swift.

Woodpigeon, 2 Greenfinch, 5 Carrion Crow.

3 Linnet, 4 Skylark, 3 Stock Dove, 3 Magpie.

2 Curlew, 2 Willow Warbler, 3 Blackbird.

7 Whitethroat, 8 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

1 Lapwing, juv. Robin, Wren, Chaffinch.

Starling, Feral Pigeon, House Sparrow, Swallow.

Bradshaw Fields:

Late evening:-

Fox barking (seen).

3 Mistle Thrush.

Green Woodpecker.

3 Meadow Pipit.

5 Lesser Black-backed Gull over.
