Local fields Sat. Evening

On a blistering hot day we took Abi to see her mum at White Windows where a Chiffchaff called continuously and a Blackcap was also heard. (30 degrees showing in the car)

Later I was chief filler-upper of the garden sheep dip. It looked more paddling pool-esque to me.

Later still, I managed a walk up the local fields, where it was still quite hot.

Birds:-

2 Buzzards soared high over Oats Royd during sheep dip duties.

A very transparent looking small Gull mega high overhead, is probably a Black Headed Gull and not a Mediterranean variety!

2 Little Owl (1 seen, 1 heard).

Mistle Thrush (heard).

Whitethroat (heard).

Stock Dove.

Heron.

Linnet.

c6 Meadow Pipit.
