Leeshaw Reservoir - Oxenhope and Local Walk

A run out for an ice cream to Oxenhope Co-Op this afternoon - another dull, cool August day. A look at Leeshaw Reservoir followed.

Birds:-

Large flock of Lapwing, Starling and Black Headed Gulls left the fields but I could not see any Raptor.

2 Herring Gull, c75 Black Headed Gull.

Swallow, Mallard, Goldfinch, Meadow Pipit calling.

1 sub-adult Gull on the distant far shore line.

Another large Gull over was probably a Lesser Black-backed Gull.

A large Raptor, high, looked a bit Goshawk like but the tail shape is probably wrong although the head and body looked the part.

A Dipper was on the stream.

c20 Swallow were on telephone lines in Haworth.

Nearing home 221 Starlings were on the telephone wires at Pavement Lane.

Local Walk.

2 Little Owl, c95 Jackdaw.

4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, Woodpigeon.

Fox.

The hill by Matthews farm is bound to get a Whinchat soooon!

On our door.

A few 'Sparrowhawk' pics.
