Abi with us as usual today, and we had a visit to White Windows.
I did get out for and hour this afternoon, a dull, muggy sort of day on my walk to Holdsworth and back.
Birds:-
Garden Sky Watch a.m.
A large black looking Diver, high, fast > N prob. a Cormorant.
Sparrowhawk.
Sowerby Bridge:
Cormorant, Goosander.
Holdsworth Walk:
Moorhen, 5 Mistle Thrush, Sparrowhawk.
2 Great Spotted Woodpecker (both heard, neither seen!).
7 Canada Geese.
A few Gulls.
Evening Sky Watch:
Gulls going to roost > W and SW flying in 'V's' trying to confuse me.
2 Raven were nice to see and hear.
2 Black Dots above.
Prob.Cormorant.
Could be a Duck sp?
