Out and About

A very windy day today, cold but bright and sunny.

Xmas shopping (UGH) this morning lasted until afternoon (UGH, UGH).

A bonus was that I manged to get some mealworms at £5 a Kg.

On our way home we called at Shelf park for an exercise walk down through the woods where the wind was less severe - pleasant enough.

Later I sat in the garden with a warm coat and my gloves on, watching the sky (sad man that I am!).

Birds:

Very hard to come by anything at all today.

The Shelf wood had some pretty colours but were a disappointment, although we did not linger, so I am probably doing them a disservice.

Just a few Long Tailed Tits worth a mention.

I have had Redwing here previously and I was hoping I might get a decent photo of one but no joy there.

The garden sky watch just had the usual Gulls, mostly moving west.

50 or so passed in the hour or so as I was watching.

A Mistle Thrush was on a pylon and a few Starlings passed through.

Some poor photos - mostly silhouettes.
