We had a walk with friends around Bingley St. Ives late morning / early afternoon today.
We all called at Harden, Stephen Smith's Garden centre (Hattie's Restaurant) for our yearly Christmas lunch - and very nice it was too!
A few birds were seen on our walkabout, a solitary Redwing probably the best of the bunch.
A very quick circuit of the Coppice Pond revealed the usual suspects:-
2 Goosander.
15 Mute Swan.
2 Moorhen.
Mallards.
Black Headed Gull.
2 Canada Geese.
A Great Spotted Woodpecker flew over Stephen Smith's Car Park.
Good numbers of Gulls in the fields around Denholme.
Earlier as we were leaving the house a Green Woodpecker called loudly from trees nearby.
c30 Lapwing were airborne near the Raggalds as we headed off to Bingley.
On our way home, late afternoon, Sue dropped me off at the Raggalds Flood where the water is still 'hanging on' but the place had just a few Crows for company.
The walk down Bradshaw Lane to home, was a cold, disappointing affair with nothing much seen.
