As January 2022 draws to a close..
Not as windy as last night, but still a breezy do this afternoon, as I set off across the fields to Ned Hill Road, then up Soil Hill main track to follow the east contour path to Percy Rd and down Taylor Lane, home.
I was hoping that last night's gale might have dropped something on to soil hill top like a Lapland Bunting - it probably did - but I didn't see it!
Birds:-
Bradshaw Fields:-
Little Owl.
A 'mixture' of small gulls (mostly Common Gulls) , Starling, Jackdaws, Crows and at least 10 Rook.
1 Mistle Thrush.
2 Red Legged Partridge.
2 Chaffinch and a few Goldfinch.
The rest of the outing from Ned Hill Road had a few Herring Gulls airborne - and was good exercise!!
I though I heard a Redshank call from Ogden direction, but it was probably birding fever setting in.
