Little Owl Faithful Rarely Lets Me Down

A gale force wind for most of the day in Bradshaw, put the brakes on any serious birding walk.

We had a run out to Hattie's Restaurant in Stephen Smith's garden centre at Harden for lunch.

The perspex  roofing panels on the cafe's conservatory were being bombed by bits of branches from nearby swaying (Alder?)  trees.

After lunch we had a visit to Coldspring outdoor clothing shop at Cullingworth.

During these visits I kept scanning the many fields for the numerous Gulls that normally forage hereabouts and saw none on the deck!

The wind remained pretty strong late afternoon as I headed up the local fields to scratch my daily birding itch.

One Woodpigeon, One Common Gull and a few Crows on the deck!

Was about all.

A few Gulls overhead > W towards Ogden (included a few large Gulls that I cannot ID from the distant photos) and a lengthy search for the 'Little 'un''  finally paid off as I spotted it hunkered down out of the wind, on a distant wall.

Baildon in the distance.
