Ringstone

Another poor day, cold, wet and windy.

We had a visit to Sue's sister's for lunch today and we called at Ringstone Reservoir 'on the way there'.

The road from Ripponden up past the Fleece pub will be closed for a good few weeks from Monday, according to signage.

I just had time to walk along the west side of the  reservoir wall and back and get a good soaking, before we had to leave.

Good to bump into DF doing the rounds but I only had time to say hello, really,

It seemed like a good afternoon to do the jigsaw I was bought for Christmas - well I did 1%, Abigail 10% and Sue the rest%.

Birds:-

The water was bereft of birds.

5 Canada Geese.

Gulls were in the north field with Starlings.

10 Black Headed Gulls and 1 Common Gull around the waters edge.

5 or so  Lapwing were in a field dip (probably more here).

1 Fieldfare.

A good scan along the north shore failed to produce the goods!

Coming to Calderdale this year.
Well - maybe not all of 'em?
