Garden and Brookfoot LNR Area

A real grot-bag of a day in Bradshaw - heavy drizzle and misty with it.

I popped out to my car late morning as I got to the door Sue called out "Look Up".

A small skein of Pick Footed Geese were low overhead, looking a bit disorientated due to the mist I guess,  called as they flew SW.

Very nice start to the day.

This afternoon we headed to the Costa Del Brighouse to get out of the grot - dull here but mostly dry.

We enjoyed a short walk along the canal, mostly, with a quick diversion to look in the feeding station trees and back via a KitKat at the "Butty Barge".

Some of the trees / bushes have been removed from beyond the large metal fence near the Ski Lake making it a tad easier to see.

Birds:-

32 Pink Footed Geese.

Usual birds on the feeders.

Jay, Long Tailed Tit, Moorhen.

Cormorant.

Small flock of Siskin.

2 Mute Swan.

Nine Heron.

2 Pr. Goldeneye Duck.

A flock of 48 Lapwing were airborne near the trailer fields as we approached Queensbury on our way home.
