I enjoyed a walk through the fields to Ogden and back this afternoon.
A windy start but it calmed down later.
A few short showers and then some sunshine - a big improvement on the last two days!
Lots of waterlogged paths and fields today.
A short visit to Bradshaw Park for some 'football', late afternoon, with Abi and Sue revealed a singing Mistle Thrush and the fact that I am now a tired old giffer.
Birds:
Bradshaw Fields:-
Raven.
Buzzard mobbed by a Crow.
I thought I'd got a solitary Little Owl, but when I look at the photo there is a second one as well!!
(A Little Owl was seen (on the deck) as I looked West from Bradshaw Lane on my way home from the Park - Probably one of the earlier ones).
2 Red Legged Partridge.
3 Stock Doves.
Ogden Area:
No Gulls on the water, with a solitary Common Gull airborne.
A few smaller birds calling as I did the circuit remained hidden.
The circuit has proved tough to find owt special this winter (for me anyway).
13 Canada Geese.
3 Lapwing > N.
4 Mistle Thrush (2 singing).
Raven.
Buzzard.
7 Gulls, airborne later, did not land on the water either, and remained in bright sun so I've no idea of the species.
1 Herring Gull over as I approached Back Lane and also here a slate-backed Sparrowhawk, low over the fields, disappeared into the conifers.
