I had a quick look at Raggalds Flood as I passed in the car, on a very wet morning.
Good to see lots of juice, although it drains quickly nowadays, just the usual small Gulls were here.
The flood is due to cough up something good soon.
This afternoon I took a walk up Ringby Lane and along Ringby Top.
(Good to chat with the owners of the house at the bottom of the track - where the House Sparrows reside).
It was quite windy on the top and after some good sunshine, a long heavy shower came along.
This was a shame as all around looked to be sunny!
Birds:-
Green Woodpecker (always a nice bonus).
2 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
1 Common Gull.
2 Herring Gull.
A few Gulls were passing through > W.
A small flock of Starlings.
4 very fast moving birds that I believe are Woodpigeon.
A small flock of Starling sized birds, with light coloured underwings, that flushed from the fields, were away too quick for me to get anything on them.
