Bingley St. Ives / Bradshaw - Holdsworth

St. Ives:

A walk with friends at Bingley St. Ives this morning.

The usual walk around most of the perimeter on a breezy, cloudy dry day.

Birds:-

Buzzard in flight as we approached St. Ives seen from the car.

Coal Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Tufted Duck, Mute Swan, Mallard, Black Headed Gull, Moorhen, Mistle Thrush.

Bradshaw - Holdsworth and back.

I had a local birding walk later in the afternoon down to Holdsworth and back.

Quite windy again, spoiling things a bit on my leisurely few hours stroll.

Birds:-

2 Greenfinch, 3 Long Tailed Tit.

A Wagtail species overhead called.

Canada Goose, 3 Herring Gull, 2 Common Gull.

2 Redwing, 2 Mistle Thrush, 3 Stock Dove.

2 Collard Dove, Green Woodpecker (Heard).

Kestrel.

A distant Little Owl that took 1/2 hour to locate!

A second Green Woodpecker called as I was cleaning me boots at home.

You might call today a bog roll cardboard insert sort of day, rather than the full roll!

Local birding proving tough in winter.

St. Ives:

Bradshaw - Holdsworth.
