Bradshaw - Holdsworth Circular / Bradshaw Park / Local Fields

Holdsworth:

A bright morning, pretty cold in the NE wind, as I headed down the Calderdale Way path to Holdsworth.

Very muddy underfoot, with lots of running water coming down from the hills.

Above Holdsworth schools , Rooks were mending their nests.

Birds were scarce.

Bradshaw Park:

After lunch Abi took us to the park for some footie,(but really so we could confirm how old and decrepit we really are).

Usual birds here but it was good to hear 3 Greenfinch calling.

A Green Woodpecker called from the farm fields several times.

Local Fields:-

A late evening stroll up the local fields was a cold do, with a late shower trying to decide if it should turn white!

The Green Pecker was still calling, somewhere behind East Croft Farm.

Birds:-

2 Canada Geese, 3 Mistle Thrush, 1 Meadow Pipit.

2 Pied Wagtail, c6 Common Gull, 1 Herring Gull.

Green Woodpecker, 3 Greenfinch.

Pr. Red Legged Partridge (flushed).

1 Little Owl.
