A dull day, dry on my way across the fields ,with a heavy shower half way around Ogden Water, and then dry afterwards.
On arrival at Ogden prom. I received a grapevine message (via B.S.) of 14 Teal on Ogden.
They took some finding in the gloom, way down the north end, about as far away from me as poss.
They stayed that way as well, as I walked around the drink, they were always very distant.
Good to chat with NK on the Ogden circuit.
A Woodpecker was drumming, more faintly than normal, off and on, throughout the walk.
I am unsure if the faintness of the drumming is because of the 'drum' that the bird chose to play or the species of Woodpecker?
Also, a Green Woodpecker called as I was on Ogden Lane, earlier.
I decided to brave the walk up Ned Hill Road, to look at Soil Hill, but when I got to the top the mist was pretty dense (a bit like me) so I gave Soil Hill top a miss.
