Abi with us today and as I waited for her slumber to end I enjoyed the sunshine, watching the sky.
Mid-afternoon and I enjoyed a local walk along the fields through Crabtree Hall Farm, up Ned Hill Lane (good to meet HC and BA on their way to try for DJS's Whimbrel - for BA).
I then went along Soil Hill Main Track and took a right along the quarry top, through the fields to Percy Rd and Taylor Lane.
Birds:
Garden:
2 (Maybe 3) Buzzard, 2 Raven, Chiffchaff, Kestrel, Swallow
Walk:
2 Kestrel, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Willow Warbler, Linnet.
Herring Gull, Stock Dove, Pied Wagtail.
Red Legged Partridge calling.
Lapwing.
Swallow.
Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Pick of the outing was 3 Wheatear seen in the fields just after leaving the quarry.
Seen at distance from Ned Hill Track.
Probably a Willow Warbler.
