Garden , Local Walk and Leeshaw Reservoir Oxenhope

A sit out in the garden this morning was followed by a short local walk this aft, through Crabtree Hall Farm and down through Bradshaw Park.

Good to chat to DP at the farm, doing a monster walk.

Leeshaw:-

A late evening birding outing to Leeshaw, Oxenhope with Abi and Sue.

I though Abi would be bored but she lapped it up, with loads of calling Geese, Lapwing, Oystercatcher and the occasional Redshank, making for a lively, loud outing.

The bird of the evening was a Common Scoter on the drink.

Birds:-

Garden:-

3 Swallow, Buzzard, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull (unless!).

Singing Chiffchaff, Curlew calling.

Walk:-

Little Owl, 3 Pied Wagtail, Moorhen, Song Thrush.

2 Swallow, Meadow Pipit, Stock Dove.

and a few common species.

Leeshaw:-

Some Birds:-

Common Scoter.

Greylag and Canada Geese.

Redshank, Oystercatcher.

Lapwing, Curlew, Stock Dove, Kestrel??

A Red Legged Partridge was in the road - we nearly got shunted as we stopped for it to vamoose!
