Ilkley

We took Abi to one of her favourite places today - Ilkley.

I managed a short hour, alone, along the riverbank while Sue and Abi did some bridge building using the big rocks in the river.

The weather started off quite cool, early morning, but warmed up nicely to leave a pleasant afternoon.

Some Birds:-

3 Mandarin Ducks.

2 Grey Wagtail.

Sand Martin.

3 Red Kite - seen from the car shortly after leaving Ilkley.

Pied Wagtail.

2 Oystercatcher on the river bank - one looked to be sitting on eggs very near the water.

If so, the nest will be washed away if we get some heavy rain in the near future.

2 Redshank, together in the river.

Black Headed Gull.

Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Buzzard.

Moorhen.
