Hollingworth Lake and Ogden to Home

We took Abi to see her mum this morning and afterwards we went for her favourite lunch, a carvery at 'The Beach' at Hollingworth Lake.

It was very, very windy here , blowing the sand from the path into your eyes occasionally and cold with it.

I've never known it so windy here and the water level was really high as well.

The  area near the birding hide, which usually has some good shoreline, had little or no 'beach'.

Sue dropped me at Ogden on our way home where the weather was great, no wind and lovely evening sunshine with lots of shoreline to investigate.

Different again as I got nearer home with the wind returning, big style.
