Whitehome Reservoir / Local Fields

We enjoyed a walk to Whitehome Reservoir from our usual parking place by the water board track gate.

Breezy, warm with some sunshine today.

The reservoir is very full at the moment and there were few birds here today.

2 Pied Wagtail, Skylark, Meadow Pipit.

4 Mallard, 2 Canada Goose.

2 Large Gulls "miles off" on the drink were probably Lesser Black-backed.

A Raptor was 'hovering temporarily' 'miles off' towards the west - Peregrine?

The local fields had a Little Owl and a Curlew with Large Gulls floating about.

Elsewhere a Peregrine Falcon was seen and I had my 1st Bradshaw Swallow, seen from the garden, this morning.

A tight flock of 22 birds over the garden this morning which I thought were racing pigeon are probably Stock Dove looking at the uniform plumage on the photo?

A Large calling Gull, that I got a really poor video of and also an equally poor photo of. is probably a Lesser Black-Backed Gull (I was hoping for a Great Black-backed).

A large fire was seen over Halifax from Bradshaw.

Garden:
