Hag Lane - Swalesmoor

Abi with us today so I did not get out 'till after 5pm.

Trying to find somewhere where this infernal wind would be manageable, I finally opted for Hag Lane, Swalesmoor.

The start of Hag Lane bridleway was quite sheltered from the wind but as soon as I left the buildings the wind was back with a vengeance.

Birds:

Nothing to write home about really.

A Sparrowhawk fired along the valley seen through the bins from above.

Strong bands of contrasting brown along the birds back with perhaps 3 brown tail bands.

Whitethroat heard.

Skylark.

Linnet - 6 together on one wall.

Many Meadow Pipits flitting about which is always nice to see.

A few Lesser Black-backed Gull overhead.

A few Swallow and Swift.

And a few other species.

A few pretty poor photos:-
